Design Of Supporting Software For NMT Experimental Prototype

With the rapid development of communication, the requirement of broad-band operation, such as high-speed data, high quality image, is stringent. The increase of backbone network bandwidth and requirement of consumer makes access network become the bottle-neck, and now it becomes the focus of telecom network. The current DSL technology has made the best of existing networks and equipments. However, with the popularization of DSL, we find it has many limitations in transmission speed and transmission distance, so the current access network can't satisfy the requirement of operation. To seek a proper technology or scheme that will provide more service areas and high speed for broadband access becomes the biggest challenge of broadband communications.NMT, which is referred in the thesis, is proposed by Dr.Liang Dequn. The essential difference between NMT and the conventional modulation is that the new method breaks through the orthogonal limit in the digital communication, so it improves the transmission speed. The new method has many merits compared with such technologies as QAM, DMT and OFDM. The new method has better timing jitter, lower PAR(Peak-to-Average Ratio), less power and higher transmission speed, etc.For the purpose of use NMT practically, we should validate its feasibility firstly, so it is necessary to develop experimental prototype. NMT experimental prototype include the digital experimental prototype and the analog experimental prototype. The main work is to offer supporting software for experimental prototypes, including the operating interface program for digital experimental prototype and simulation program for the analog experimental prototype. Now, NMT digital experimental prototype has finished, and the operating interface has realized its function. The simulation program for the analog experimental prototype has finished, in which NMT is used in ADSL channel.
