With the rapid development and population of Internet, people became more and more relied on it. In recent years, e-commerce attracted many people's attention. The online payment system is the crucial part of an e-commerce transaction. Therefore, offering a safe and efficient online payment system is the core of e-commerce transaction.According to the type of e-commerce, there are two types of popular payment mode: B2C (Business to Customer) payment, B2B (Business to Business) payment. The character of the former is that payment sum is small and frequency is high. The later has a larger payment sum and requires high safety. As B2C shopping online becomes prevalent, it becomes pressing for studying and developing B2C online payment system.Recently, the existing e-commerce payment systems based on the SSL protocol and SET protocol that are widely used in china. But there are also many problems, the insufficiency mainly behaves as follows: the e-commerce payment systems based on the SSL protocol has the problem of the length of encrypt arithmetic key is not enough, and can not provide the service of Digital Signature. In the e-commerce payment systems based on the SET protocol, SET protocol is very complex, bulky, and needs being authenticated before being used. And its rapidity is slow . So these systems are not very convenient. To solve above problems, this paper firstly analyzes the two typical payment agreements SSL and SET, and then introduces existing online payment systems based on SSL and SET agreement. Based on the thought of combining the strongpoint of SSL and SET protocols, we put forward an efficient and safe online payment precept, and then designed and partly implemented a B2C online payment system.
