Network payment based on Internet is founded an opening environment, so its security is a pivotal problem. Internet payment is the core and key in electronic business, is also the bottleneck restricted the development of electronic commence. This paper analyzed the security progress of Internet payment at present, compared two protocols—Secure socket layer(SSL) and Secure electronic transaction (SET),Then advanced and discussed two improving scheme based on their amalgamation.Main research work in this thesis is as follows:(1)Introduction to the produce and defining of Internet payment, the basic structure, character and pattern about Internet payment. Discussion of the security requirements and cryptogram knowledge about internet payment, detailed the correlative conception of encryption techniques, emphasized a private-key system—DES , a public-key system—RSA and SHA, some encryption algorithms are afforded.(2) There are two important protocols—SSL and SET about Internet payment are analyzed and compared, they both have advantage and disadvantage, their deficiencies in practice are pointed out.(3) The author analyzed the trend of Internet payment, then brought forth two Internet payment model based SSL and SET. Moreover the two improving model are discussed in detail.①An amalgamation between SSL and SET. Affiliate SSL encryption arithmetic process before SET protocols carried out.②The other one amalgamation in a business process. Consider about adopting different protocols in different business' entity.(4) At last, the author carried out a new model realized a security Internetpayment System, this is a boost to Internet payment research for the future.
