With the development of Internet, people in traditional life are increasingly familiar with the improvement of information technology.Electronic commerce spread out in this background. However,as the two sides in electronic commerce transaction communicate with each other indirectly, the security and secrecy becomes very important, which will influence the development of E-commerce in the future.SET protocol is a set of safe Electronic payment system protocol, which has been used in reality. Many technology ,such as symmetric and asymmetric encryption technique,PKI(Public key infrastructure),certificate mananagement architecture, transactional message control ,data signcryption, and so on, has been taken in SET. Thus it has many advantages such as providing standard communication protocol, assuring the secrecy by data encryption and keeping the transaction information intact and undeniable by using digital signature, and so on. On the other hand ,It also has some fault. For example, the complexity in transaction processure and long time computing cost in RSA dual digital signature. In stead of using dual signcryption scheme in SET, SSET uses the domain-verifiable signcryption scheme which take advantage of hash signcryption algrithm for verification to solve those problem and achieve higher security and efficiency. It is more efficient than SET and can contribute to the practical and engineering side of real-world electronic payments. To decrease the complexity of secure electronic transaction procedure, the improved secure electronic transaction protocols takes various technology such as client transation agent, secure mechant transaction platform, secure channel, etc, and simplify the transation procedure. It will greatly contribute to the spread of secure electronic transation.
