This thesis is one part of the project"Research of High Performance, High Dynamic CMOS Image Sensor", which is the key science and technology project supported by the government of TianJin. CMOS image sensor is characteristics of mature processing, high dynamic, lower product cost, lower power, strongly integration, lower noise. Because of the development of CMOS technology and the specialty of CMOS Image Sensor, It has been applied to a great many fields such as digital video camera, mobile communication, safeguard, automobile airbag and fingerprint identification. As the research and development CMOS Image Sensor is at the beginning, the study of this project will make great sense in theoretic and have a wider market.The Synthesis and Place & Route of the digital control circuit of CMOS Image Sensor are discussed in the thesis. Firstly, the structure of sensor array and the function of modules are analyzed. Following, under the background of project, the processes of synthesis and place & route are introduced in detail. At the Synthesis stage, we select the Top Down compile strategy, and suppose an ideal clock. At the Place & Route stage, we write general constraint format file and pin placement file according as the characteristic of digital control circuit of CMOS Image Sensor, place cells and optimize by timing driven mode, generate right clock tree, select timing driven routing, and pass the connectivity check and geometry check. At last ,we make timing analysis and back simulation.
