With the popularity of Internet and development of Ethernet, network communication has become the tendency currently. Internet extends to many fields, and meanwhile more and more equipments begin to connect to Internet, especially all kinds of embedded equipments. Embedded equipments are widely used in our life and manufacture because of their small volume,high agility and capability. By integrating with Internet, the network communication function would make the application foreground of embedded equipments more widely.Based on the introduction to embedded system and netword protocols, the methods of connecting to Internet for embedded equipments are analysed in this paper, also their advantages and disadvantages and application fields included. Then taking the temperature and humidity control system for example, we give out the method of this system connecting to Internet through Ethernet, and expound the software as an emphasis. This system use client-server model and TCP protocol for network programming, and the arithmetic and main programme are given. At last, there are also some parts not perfect in this method.By using uCLinux OS and ARM MPU, this system could achieve the function of network communication and have good capability of transplant. It also can be used for other systems. In future, with the development of industry Ethernet and intelligent equipment, embedded network communicationg will have a faster development.
