GIS is a technology developed in the mid-20th century to the 1960s. GIS is used to solve geographical problem, and now has become a cross-disciplinary science, involves mapping , evironmental science, computer technology and other disciplines. GIS applications have been a constant depth and expansion and especially continue to expand in the field of land management. This paper aims to explore the use of GIS technology and research information management system for land prices. Shanghai land prices and the actual data could be applied to future exploration and research.GIS without other systems are able to match the spatial data management and analysis functions .Land prices information belongs to the category of geographic information, the introduction of GIS information management and analysis of land prices, the laws of the land prices will be further known and understood. Based on GIS software platform of MapInfo7.5 and MapBasic7.0 language, and using object-oriented computer language Visual Basic 6.0 and 6.0 Surfer interpolation software development and application of GIS-based information management system for land prices, the system has four modules: (1) Land price data source pretreatment module ;(2) Land price information 2D display module;(3) Land price information 3D display module; (4) Land price data, comparative and analysis module.A more thorough study is done on the interpolation method and the interpolation of the process of establishing digital premium in the paper. And the system of the database structure and data models involved were elaborate, Meanwhile, given the technical development of each module of the core ideas and the development of the source code. Finally systems for the various functions and specific applications have made more detailed image of the exposition. The article concludes with the need to continue to study the future direction of work.
