Research And Implementation Of A Universal ETL Tool

Nowadays, with the trend of data concentration, service comprehension, and scientific decision in information construction, most of the heterogeneous legacy systems are incompetent to meet these requirements. More and more companies and enterprises require data integration and data exchange. In order to deal with the complex data processing problem in data integration and data exchange, a specific tool for data extracting, transforming and loading (normally called ETL tool) has shown up. ETL tool has played an important role in data integration.Taking the reality of developing an ETL tool as a backing, this article introduces the related knowledge and technology in ETL fields, gives the detailed explanation of the overall system from the requirement analysis, system design and system realization three aspects. First, in the requirement analysis stage, according to the synthesis request of general ETL tools, the chapter portrays the system logical model using the structured analysis method; Next, in the system design stage, mainly from the system design, the UI design and package design these aspects, the chapter carries on the design to the system; Furthermore, in the system realization stage, narrates the UI component as well as detailed certain key technologies in the data processing; Finally summaries and the goals of follow-up study are shown to us.
