The research of UWB antenna is important for the application of the short electromagnetic pulse in radar, communication, electro-magnetic compatibility and so on.The electric-magnetic vibrator combined UWB antenna (EMV-UWB) that constructed of electric and magnetic vibrator, has the characters of small size and high radiated efficiency. The EMV-UWB antenna was analyzed in this thesis using the numerical stimulation method. Through researching the relation between structural parameters and performance, some useful references were provided for designing this antenna. The main content includes the following three parts.Firstly, based on the analysis of the antenna physical structure, the TEM horn, TEM horn with shield and EMV-UWB antenna were stimulated respectively. The effects of antenna's every part and size on the impedance and radiation performance were studied. The results showed that the shield of EMV-UWB could improve the low-frequency performance and feed-in efficiency, the current loop could reduce the reflectance in certain frequency range, antenna size decides the radiated bandwidth, and when the perimeter of current loop is about 2 times as the antenna's size, the impedance and radiation performance would be the best.Secondly, the effects of arrays mutual coupling, space, number and structure on the power pattern were analyzed. The results proved that the mutual coupling didn't affect the power pattern much, the pattern of antenna array were only concerned with the number and space of elements at which the pattern lie in, and the more the arrays number and the greater the space are, the narrower the power pattern is. Changing the feeding time delay of elements appropriately could control beam steering.Finally, the experiments of the EMV-UWB antenna have been done, and the results accord with the numerical stimulation well.
