In recent years, with the development of computer information and network, information hiding which is a new technology of information security recently develops quickly. By making use of redundancy of human feeling to digital signal, information hiding uses digital media and digital files (including audio, image, video and so on) as carriers, and then hides the secret information with some algorithms to get the objective of hiding communication. Meanwhile, it is difficult to hide much more data in definite video stream, because of the compress character of video construction. Therefore, there is scientific value and important application background about how to deal with the hiding data amount in video.This paper is mainly about information hiding for digital video. Based on deeply study on the data hiding and related coding techniques, we combined the existed cryptology and information hiding techniques, and then presented a better information hiding/retrieval algorithm.1. Based on the theory of information and coding, analyzed LSB algorithm and digital image inverse transformation encryption technique, studied some existed algorithms. At the same time the affection of some parameters were analyzed. Then simulated ct codes, and compared with turbo codes and ldpc codes.2. Deeply studied the standard of H.264/MPEG, the character of system and the influence to hiding algorithms. Analyzed the process of encoding and decoding under H.264/MPEG.3. Presented the improvement of information hiding/retrieval algorithm.In this paper, there is a process of hiding image into the video stream. Then we encrypted the image information with digital image inverse transformation. At last, the secret message was hidden in the low-frequency part of a frame of video. The algorithm differs from previous work in that we make use of vector quantization instead of scalar quantization to embed the information, which makes the hidden data less sensitive to noise. Rather than choosing all coefficients for data embedding, we choose only the low-frequency coefficients along the zig-zag scanning path to hiding the information and thus avoid degrading the performance of run-length coding.4.
