Through analyzing the characteristic of image acquired from this scanner and the user requirement, we design and develop the professional image processing software with image acquisition and image processing function. The research purpose of the professional image processing software is to offer the methods of convenient image processing and the requirement of high-precision for users. It solves the problem that engineering scanner of Hidig Company always depends on third party software function of acquisition image and processing image such as Photoshop. It makes the scanner has its own professional image processing software.This paper deals mainly with the design and implementation the software of professional image processing. There are four important parts in this thesis. In the first part of this paper, the basic principle and application software of scanner is described, then the characteristic of Hidig engineering scanner is presented, and the particular demands of professional image processing software is introduced. In the second part, the design and implementation of architecture, interface and function of professional image processing software is detailed described. In the third part, the TWAIN standard is described in detail, on the base of which design and implementation of image acquisition are completed. In the last part, the memory management of massive image data processing policy.
