Newspaper as a knowledge-intensive industries, the importance of self-evident talent, especially as we enter the 21st century, the Chinese newspaper industry in transition is facing new challenges, new competition and new development trends and the role of talent more prominent. Practice has proved that the scientific and reasonable mechanism of talent is the effective measure for our newspapers to attract, develop and retain talent. However, the last century the remaining obsolete talent mechanism has failed to meet the new century Chinese newspaper new demand for qualified personnel. Therefore, reform and innovation newspaper talent mechanism imminent.Based on this understanding, this study of descriptive and explanatory research study to examine newspaper talent and its mechanisms' concepts, features and related theories in the new century, and used case study law in the domestic representative and universal significance of the three major newspaper groups in Guangdong talent mechanism status survey conducted empirical analysis thus X-ray of the current status and problems and shortcomings of the talent mechanism of Chinese newspaper industry. On this basis, in conjunction with journalism, human resource management, organizational behavior sciences theory and so on, this study discussed some of the ways and approaches of reform and innovation for the talent mechanism of Chinese newspaper industry, and put forward the idea that made the transition as an opportunity to press the newspaper talent to the market mechanism, with a view to the industry have revealed.
