Study On Flexible Workflow And Application In E-government System

Compared to traditional workflow, the flexible workflow has the flexibility, dynamic characteristics, so it can adapt to the dynamic changes in business processes, and better able to describe the actual business flow, and can really meet the unceasing requirement of enterprise development. The flexible workflow has become a popular research topic.The research to the flexible workflow mainly concentrates in two aspects: One is the flexible workflow model research, and the typical representative has the active network chart, the Petri Nets and the Object-oriented model; the other is the method research about realization of flexible workflow, mainly include ActiveX method, Java RMI method, CORBA method and system integration method. Researchers propose many kinds of solutions from different angles based on the different models of the flexible workflow. These solutions have satisfied basic requirement of the enterprise business at the present stage, but in the versatility, the security and the adaptability aspects they still have many deficiencies, and have certain limitations, so they will not be able to satisfactorily meet the requirements of future business development. Therefore the research about the flexible workflow should be more thorough, unceasingly ameliorate the flexible workflow model and improve the realization method of the flexible workflow, and makes the flexible workflow can not only meet the enterprise current requirement, but also it will be able to meet the enterprise future development requirement.This paper first researches the domestic and foreign flexible workflow research situation, and analyzes the typical flexible workflow model, and summarizes the realized flexible method thoroughly. Based on the summaries and analysis about the existing research results, this paper abstract work process from flexible workflow, and apply the method based on activity tree to expression, implementation and storage of the process, therefore proposes modified flexible workflow model based on activity tree. The modified flexible workflow model absorbed the merit of existing flexible workflow model in flexibility and dynamic characteristics, and make up the lack of them in the versatility, the security and the adaptability aspects.
