This paper is based on library knowledge service in knowledge economy. The major research content is as following:Chapter 1, Summarization of Library Knowledge Service.This chapter briefly introduces the relationship between knowledge economy and library knowledge service, and the relationship and difference between knowledge service and information service. The necessity for library to develop knowledge service is analyzed then. To change the library service mode, there are 4 aspects that affect the library in a macro view, which are the development of knowledge society, the promotion of network information environment, the change of user information demand and information behavior, and the transformation of library service function.Chapter 2, Study on Library Knowledge Service Mode.This chapter is to plan a library knowledge service mode as a whole. It mainly concerns how the library provides knowledge service and what kinds of knowledge service the library should have. First, the environment and challenges of library knowledge service operation are analyzed. Later, the author evaluates the knowledge service capabilities, including hardware facilities and human resources arrangement. Last, the detailed operation mode and relevant suggestions are brought forward. It is composed of three parts, which are knowledge share, professional knowledge service, and network knowledge service. This mode is based on knowledge share mechanics inside the library and network service, it delivers professional knowledge service to users through classified front stage reference services, personal customized knowledge services, and consulting company team services.
