At present, medicine tube-type bottle'online inspecting depends on mostly manpower in our country. Inspection in this way has many defects, slow speed, easy omission, big injury to persons. Simultaneously, it can not adapt to the industrial developing trend. It is high in expenses, not convenient or even not universal if we introduce the overseas production line. Therefore, this dissertation has done some basic researches for medicine tube-type bottle'online inspecting using the machine visual technology, the digital image processing technology and the DSP technology, established a set of the image processing system and experimental platform used as tube-type bottle visual inspection. The main contributions of this dissertation are the followings.Firstly, the structure of the inspecting system was introduced according to the factory actual inspecting standard, and the economical suitable photosource, the illuminative apparatuses, the gathering image formation equipments, the frame grabber were selected.Secondly, the image pretreatment, the characteristic withdrew and the recognition algorithm were analysed. The suitable algorithm was filtered combining the image processing effect of tube-type bottle. The inspecting principle was elaborated aiming at the bottle-mouth, the bottle-body and the bottle-bottom.Thirdly, the DSP technic was used to change inspecting system efficiency. The experimental platform basing on DSP was established. The inspecting project of the single frame tube-type bottle image was completed through algorithm which was chosen basing on the DSP exploitation board.The experimental result has proved which algorithm is feasible. Using TMS320DM642 chip is highly effective. The system platform which was designed has provided the theory and the experimental foundation for the next actual production inspecting.
