The Design Of Function Block Configuration Software Based On EPA FieldBus Control System

With the progress of industrial control technology, industrial control system is developing toward industrial ethernet technology.And adding extended device based on modbus protocol to the control network become more and more popular. So it is very important to design the configuration software of EPA system.According to the control system, An EPAConfig software is designed, It includes three key items, EPA(Ethernet for Plant Automation)specification,EPA function block and XML device description. EPA specification is an industrial ethernet specification defined by our country which has been accepted in IEC61784-2. The function blocks are in accordance with IEC61499 and IEC61804 spcification, and are distributed in field devices.The XML device description is used to device cooperation.Comparing with traditional control software,EPA_Config has the advantage of easily using and upgrading. EPAConfig is a visual and graphical configuration software and it is developed on Visual C++6.0 platform.It has six modules, device module, visual configuration module, data supervision module, communication service module, XML device description module and message distribution module.It shows that EPA_Config is a friendly and easy configuration software by two applications.
