Short Message Service (SMS) is know as a pragmatic technology at its beginning. Now with the development and mature of this technology, its using field and scope expand speedily. It is more and more important in communication. And even become a new media, which can be used to both personal and mass communication. With the development of the society, people have a stronger thirst for information. Meanwhile this eagerly desire has its limitation. That is the media must show the individual demand conspicuously. Traditional communication medium have their weakness. Some are one-way communication and the others want of more pregnant and secret. Most receivers are not content while using them. On the contrary, SMS is a quickly, convenient and two-way communication method. It becomes a new media relying on its superiority on distant and immediate communication. Now, people know SMS as "The Fifth Media", standing side by side with the traditional communication medium such as newspaper, broadcasting, TV and Internet.From mid 1990s, the. scope of SMS expands quickly. SMS and Internet replenish each other on channel. This is the magic of many web companies to succeed. SMS finds a way out of the limitation of traditional communication and forms a new space for communication. Under this background, learned circle begin to study and review SMS immediately. Especially, journalists pay more attention on its revolutionary effect on information communication.
