The Design And Application Of Interface Server In The Tele-medicine Information Sharing Platform

With the development of Broadband network and Medical information technology, the technique of computer, communication and medicine join much together. Nowadays, there is good economical foundation, technology condition as well as high demand for the remote sharing of medical information. And to establish common platform for the sharing of medical information and storing equipment among hospitals based on broadband network, is quite significant for the hospital informationization construction, as well as the development of telemedicine in our country.However, we have to consider one key point in order to share the medical information in a perfect telemedicine information sharing platform. That is to found the Interface Server besides the servers of HIS (Hospital Information System) and PACS (Picture Arching and Communication System) in hospitals, so as to constitute the strategy based on HL7 (Health level seven) and DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) for transmitting information from primitive servers in hospital to the data center servers of the sharing platform. At the same time, the internal network of hospital should be isolated from the private network of information sharing platform for the reason of secure and administration. So the primitive servers as well as the terminal computers in the hospital are isolated from the private network too, thus they have to connect the Interface Server in order to visit the private network of information sharing platform.The work of this paper originates from the momentous project of science and technology in Fujian Province,"Study on Supporting Technology of Tele-medicine information Sharing Platform Based on PACS and Broadband Network". Firstly, the system of Networking is the foundation of platform construction, so the author design the hardware structure of Interface Server based on the physical isolation technique and the network system of platform based on the technique of VPN (Virtual Private Network).
