With the great development of the Internet, the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA for short) is proposed reasonably as a novel distributed computing technique, which is widely applied in EAI and Electronic Business. Business processes in Web Services could be regarded as the extension and development of traditional Workflow technique in the SOA. Therefore, it will be of great significance to have analysis and research in the workflow patterns accompanying the business processes in Web Service.MI(Multiple Instances) pattern is a popular workflow pattern. To begin with, based upon the BPEL4WS(Business Process Execution Language for Web Services) and oriented to services, MI patterns based on Web Service are discussed and classified. Additionally, the conception of MP-MI(Multiple Partners-Multiple Instances) pattern is proposed, and so does its resolvent, namely introducing"partner-realm broker"between MI processes and MP partners, and the broker being in charge of automatic match and location for the partners. And then the thesis describes the key techniques in detail which are used for semantic match and location, including the classifying model of"partner-group-role"based on ontology, the extensible"partner registry"based on UDDI, the algorithm of semantic match for multiple partners. Finally, the implementation of the MP-MI prototype based on the above techniques is depicted concretely, as well as the outlook for further investigation on the MI patterns based on Web Services is presented.
