This essay is to analyze the competition that Telecom service providers are facing and the transformation of enterprise own networking and technology, and to point out that VPLS is one of the technologies that have the brightest future, capable of providing the security, maintainability, reliability and flexibility.This essay is to evaluate the progress of VPLS framed by International Organization for Standardization and to make a comparison of two sets of technology draft proposed by IETF, to further introduce the theory and mechanism of realizing VPN solution on VPLS basis. While considering the requirement of carrier grade and operation model, to analyze and research the reliability, scalability, QoS, security and manageability of VPN service based on VPLS technology.Summarize the characteristic of each network structure as follows, based on different customer and SLA requirement:·For medium or small network deployment, adopt the VPLS L2 accessing by CE to achieve the low cost.·For large or medium network deployment, adopt the VPLS L3 accessing by router.·For cross-region or cross-country enterprise, adopt the fast, seamless, reliable Metro VPLS service.Based on the analysis of above three network structure, make comparison of characteristic each other, and fulfill the VPLS design satisfying customer's requirement.This essay is to implement a proper, manageable, scalable and flexible VPN solution of carrier grade through VPLS. |
