Design And Implementation Of Network Performance Management System

Inorder to ensure good status of network, there is a need to develope network performance management software to monitor it.But diverse device make the development of such software complex.How to solve this problem? If manufacture make their products on unified standards , network performance management software also monitor measurements from these standards, then it will meet the need to manage network performance and the development of such software becomes more simple and more quickly.This paper will discuss the development of network performance management packages, which consist of DataPipe package and ReportPack package, on HP OVPI platform. DataPipe is used to collect performance data ,which can be from both XML files and SNMP interface.ReportPack which,then, will do summary at regular interval .After summary,performance data becomes hourly performance data and daily performance data as to defferent summary time granularity. Accordingly ,there are hourly reports,which refer hourly performance data, and daily reports ,which refer daily performance data.These packages can monitor UTRAN,SGSN,GGSN domain of 3G network and SMS.In addition, there is a need to create simulate data to test these packages for their quanlity.
