The Research And Implementation Of VxWorks BSP Based On ARM7 Microprocessor And The Development Of Spk's Kit

As the leader of 16/32-bit RISC Microcontroller in world market, ARM Series Microprocessor has been used successfully in many fields. In recent years,with the rapid development of the application of ARM in our country, more and more companies develop their own products based on ARM Series Microprocessor platform.BSP (Board Support Package) is a kind of software between hardware and vxworks operating system,whose function is similar to BIOS on PC.It can accomplish hardware initialization and then switch to corresponding operating system.BSP is defined relative to operating system, different operating system has different BSP. For example,VxWorks bsp is different from linux bsp in interface definition, even if they implement the same function based on the same CPU. So ,it is very important to read the chip datasheet carefully in the development of BSP. Although ARM is compatible in kernel, each kind of chip has its own feature. If you want to develop your own BSP, you must know well about hardware, software and operating system.This dissertation mainly introduces the design and realization of BSP based on the arm7 series microprocessor. The primary functions we have implemented include: setting CPU register, setting timer, building TFFS filesystem, starting network driver and FTP service. The sourcecode cited in this dissertation is designed base on arm7 ,and runs successfully.
