It can be used in military field to build a virtual and lifelike electronic battlefield environment. That will help commander to make accurate determination more effectively. A design scheme on scene simulation of underwater weapon is proposed in this paper.The practical requirement of the underwater weapon scene simulation system is analyzed in this paper. The submarine, the torpedo and so on the underwater weapon three-dimensional models are established with 3DS MAX. Then the overall framework and the system architecture of the underwater weapon scene simulation system are designed based on OpenGL. To satisfy the real-time requirement, the movement simulation model of underwater weapon is built in this system. And with communication through Socket web, the information transmission is realized between the underwater weapon movement simulation end and the scene simulation end. Further more the underwater weapon movement simulation is also realized in the developed virtual scene. The convenient multi-viewpoints observation choice is provided in the system for the user, thus the requirement of roaming virtual reality scene to the different angle and way is satisfied. Simultaneously, the three-dimensional model storehouse management function is provided in this system. The effective management to each kind of weapon three-dimensional model and the correlation attribute information are carried out in the function.
