The Design Of The Part Sub-System In The PhosphorPDM System

Product Data Management(PDM) is a valid method that relies on the IT technology to realize the optimization of enterprise management, which comes from the combination of the scientific management framework and the realistic enterprise problem, and of the computer technology and the enterprise culture. The PDM makes the function of integrated framework in the process of enterprise information integration.It can manage many kinds of information related with the product.The thesis mainly introduces the data model design and the client development model of PhosphorPDM part sub-system. The part sub-system mainly includes three applied aspects: the part management, the product structure management and the product configuration management. The part management manages itself according to user privilege, which maintains the database operation of addition, deletion, modification, query and the relevant business logic. The product structure management is used to make the part structured and the product structure managed and operated. The product configuration management describes the product variation using the virtual product model. These three aspects depend on each other and work together.The part sub-system is the important component of the PhosphorPDM. The data model design is directly associated with the perfection and expansion of the sub-system, and even affects the success of the PhosphorPDM implemented in the enterprise. For this reason, the design of part sub-system is very important.
