Nowadays, workflow management technology, which supports business process modeling, simulation analysis and optimization, management and integration, is applied widely. There are many research institutions and software manufacturers who develop many different products. However, few products provide modeling engineer with simulation analysis function to verify, diagnose and optimize business process model so as to sustain BPR.Simulation technology has been used prevalently in scientific decision and practice in modern management for its practicability. The thesis hereby introduces the basic concept and the theory of the Workflow simulation system, expounds its function in the supporting enterprise business process improvement and development status in domestic and overseas. This paper expatiates on requirement analysis, design and implementation of workflow modeling and simulation tool, and mainly discusses workflow model check and simulation analysis. In allusion to deficiency of today workflow model simulation analysis, we study workflow simulation and bring forward architecture of workflow model simulation. Simulation engine automatically simulates activity execution and pushes model simulation through setting up simulation conditions. Finally, several kinds of simulation reports are provided for users to analyze performance indexes of this process-model, and then to help them get a favorable process model so as to support BPI. Based on studying aim and principle of BPI, this thesis provides comprehensive BPI system. We moot some resolution on skill.In this paper, a workflow model simulation environment based on Object Petri Net is constructed. Under this environment, a workflow model can be parsed and transformed to an OPN-based simulation model, then the simulation parameters should be set and the simulation model can be put to use. To verify the structural correctness, a structural conflict verification method of workflow models based on graph reduction is introduced in this paper. With this method, we can figure out all structural conflicts of workflow model. To verify execution performance, we should rely on simulation and comprehensive BPI system. Besides, by analyzing the simulation result, we can figure out the performance parameters of a model.
