Godson CPU is the first universal CPU which developed independently in our country. It is significant that Godson is born for the CPU core technology, the security of nation and the development of economy.The objective of this thesis is to develop the low cost development board for Godson2C, which can provide advantaged sustain for the second development based on development board. Then manufacturer can take advantage of these present interfaces to develop hardware and software, and acquaint with instruction repertoire of Godson2C and integrated development environment as quickly as possible so as to shorten development cycle.In the thesis a new low cost solution based on Godson2C is creatively brought forward after comprehending system structure, performance target and interfaces of Godson2C. It is the most important that using the combination of FPGA switch card which can switch between 64-bit and 32-bit system bus and North Bridge IT8172 to replace 64-bit North Bridge, which cost is lower five times than 64-bit North Bridge and system function is more abundant. After deciding low cost structure, all chips are chosen according to system function and schematic design is finished. Moreover, high speed circuit design such as signal integrity and electromagnetic coexist is researched and PCB is designed on schematic. PCB layout and route are mainly solved in PCB design. At last, development board debugging is finished and the whole performance including memory rate , Cache performance, harddisk rate, show performance and net performance is tested by using some test softwares including Stream, LLCBench, Hdparm, Xbench and Ttcp.The test result shows that after adopting low cost design for Godson2C...
