Building The Computer Equipment Management Platform

With the rapid development of Internet and maturity of database technology, the architecture of management information system extends from C/S model to B/S model. The paper is based on equipment management of Jiang-Xi State Taxation Bureau. The equipment management system in this thesis was built to integrate with the workflow management of the business in taxation work based on WEB technology.After analyzing the requirements of the equipment management system, we conduct design according to the system characteristics, which are huge amount of data, timely management, etc. The system function architecture and network allocation are designed. It is implemented with Active Server Pages technology using browser/server style, with SQL Server 2000 as database server, connecting them with ActiveX Data Objects. The system also achieves the function of interconnecting and real-time relating with multiple users. From market-inquiry to discarding, the whole lifecycle of the equipments is under good control. Security measures are taken to make sure the system run safely.Finally it summarizes the project and points out several aspects for future work. Additionally, it forecasts the developing trend of computer equipment management system.
