Design And Application Of J2EE-Based Short Message Service System

With the development of the mobile communication and Internet, mobile operator is no longer satisfied with offering traditional voice communication service. Meanwhile, mobile users are much more demanding on further services other than voice service. Therefore, mobile short message services were put into application. SMS (Short Message Service), which is cheap, convenient, and instantly reaching, can be applied to establish a communication platform, lowering communication expense, and improving communication efficiency with customers.The SMS system, illustrated in this paper, is an enterprise level SMS application, which can enhance company image, improve operation efficiency and offer new service to customers. It can also form the 3-win model, namely operator, mobile users and mobile application service venders.The system design, and development process, ranging from demands investigation to system implementation, are all fully developed in the paper. At the beginning, the paper emphasizes on the technology, on which the system is based, e.g. the Web component technology in J2EE structure, and JDBC technology in database connection. Consequently, it analyse different function feature and relation of three modules about MO,MT and Communication on system from enterprise user perspective. Then it make sytem structure about whole SMS service platform, the SMS service platform consists of 4 layers: business layer, service layer,SMS layer and communication layer . About service layer, laid special stress on model of 2-layer service dispatcher and introduce loop-ask algorithm. About SMS layer, mainly introduce usage that login first and send/receive SMS and last close gateway. About communication layer, mainly introduce communication model of SMPP. It give more design and implementation on business layer, service layer,SMS layer and communication layer. Finally, it describe a implementation on a typical business layer: function of SMS group send.
