In recent years, the motion vision technology, for tracking high-speed object and measuring motion parameter, is widely used, along with the improvement of the frame rate, resolution, dynamic range and sensitive of camera. In order to improve measurement accuracy, methods of high resolution, high frame rate and much vision pot are used in image capturing. It brings issue of high image transmitting bandwidth and big storage space. The Hardware & Software architecture of image capturing system encounter strict challenge against image data transmission and processing in real time.The high speed, real time image capturing system based on distributed is designed in order to resolve the issue of high-speed image capturing in real-time and remote distance transmitting.Gigabit Ethernet has high bandwidth (the speed may achieve 1Gbps), long transmission distance (100m), so it is adopted as the transmitting bus, and is built as the hardware flat of distributed, high-speed, real-time image capturing, with existing image capturing hardware.VC++6.0 is applied as the developing tool, and the latter software is designed. The procedure of capturing, transmitting, showing, and the storage, is programmed, and the developing time is shortened. Based on distributed COM/DCOM, the blocking and dispersing configuration is established, which consists of three layers, client/middleware/server. The function block has specialty of plug & play, and is incompact. All of function block can be in one computer or in the net, and the software has high efficiency.The image capturing system can be built rapidly, flexibly and conveniently, easy to upgrade and maintain, has lower cost and high efficiency, and may be collocated quickly at many pot in large-scale. The captured images satisfy the request of designing. Its universal parts can be used in the fields of image supervision, multimedia application, sports analysis, etc, that require a great deal of data of image to be collected, to be transmitted, to be controlled, to be measured, to be analyzed in real time.
