Anti-radiation missile (ARM) is an air-to-air or air-to-ground missile that can seek, track and destroy radar systems by making use of electromagnetic wave of the radar beaming, which is also called anti-radar missile. In condition that electromagnetic environment become more and more complex and electromagnetic warfare will become much acute in domain of the present military combats, researches on ARM and anti-ARM technologies becomes a hot spot in command of the air. Based on our country's active defense strategy, this paper is designed to carry out a thorough and effective study on anti-ARM technologies. Detailed contents are shown as follows. The first part introduces the development and trend of ARM and the importance and object of researches on ARM. Then, tactic and technique performance of ARM are analyzed. Advantages, disadvantages and limits of ARM are thoroughly examined using signal processing methods. Based on the above, incoherent and coherent two-point-source decoy methods and modified coherent two-point-source decoy methods to deflect ARM are brought forward. ARM's homing heads are generally of mono-pulse structure, so coherent two-point-source's interference resembles that to mono-pulse radar except that interference to radar belongs to far field scope, but interference to ARM varies from far field to near field because relative distance drastically changes between the homing head and the two-point-source with missile's homing head continually approaching the target. This paper theoretically verifies the practicality of these methods and proves that they are convenient and of high operability and so have high use value. The second part brings forward a new AR-model-based ARM detection method based on features of ARM and characteristics of velocity and acceleration of the radar echoes. By establishing two-order AR models, this new detection method computes the poles of models representing different targets, thus estimates the acceleration of the targets so as to determine the nature of the targets. Furthermore, this method can not only be applied when the ARM is being tracked by radar, but also be put into use in radar's seeking and scanning times. Simulation results show...
