Research On The Reusing Problem Of Web Service-oriented Design Process

The product design is the core and soul of the manufacturing industry. The existence of Internet makes the enterprises span the space margin between them, and based on the Internet the cooperation in product design and manufacturing are realized. The relies of Knowledge-Representation, Data-Exchange, Collaborative-Process of the product design on the Internet have increased steadily. The diversity of design task makes the design process more and more complex, and the mass sub-designs included in the process mainly inherit and reuse the industry knowledge and the previous progeny. But the effective representation and the semantic description of the reusable sub-designs are lacked in current complex product design process, which result in the less-sharing of the design knowledge and influence the design efficiency.Basing on the work in the two projects which I joined named "Virtual Manufacturing Technology in Semantic Web" and "Study and Development on the Virtual Prototype and its Application System", this article aims at the actual product design and manufacturing, and has a research on the reusing and sharing problem of two important kinds of design knowledge. We put forward the expressive method of kind of table design knowledge first, on the base of which we study the operation which supports the reuse of the design knowledge. At the same time we make a focus discuss on how to realize the five table searching types and conditional search which the knowledge supports. Then we discuss the operation basing on the expressive method of parametric CAD design knowledge, which aims at the problem on the reusing of the knowledge. In this part, we make a focus discuss on how to drive the CAD model using the kind of complex design knowledge. At last, we study the realization of reusing of the design process using skill of web service.
