The Study And Establishment Of Multimedia Network Teaching System Based On Streaming Media Technology

Multimedia Network Teaching is a kind of teaching activity which puts together the computer technology, the multimedia technology, the network technology and the modern teaching methods. Multimedia network teaching system based on streaming media technology, briefly named Streaming Education System, is one important implemental method of Multimedia Network Teaching.In this paper, a Streaming Education System which could used in low-cost condition was established, based on the thought of Teaching Components Division, according to the discuss of basic principle and application in multimedia network teaching of streaming media technology, as well as the characteristics and developing condition of Streaming Education System. Such system, using pure-software implemental method and Windows Media Technology as the supporting technology, could provide teaching service to users by different subsystems.For improvement, a new scheme of Streaming Education System based on Web Service was brought forward, according to the demand of the Teaching Resources Integration and Teaching Components Reuse. The design thought and logic structure of the scheme was analyzed, the development and transfer of Web Service were expatiated, taking the re-foundation of Teaching Management Subsystem and Tutorial On-Demand Subsystem as examples. As the experiment result of the scheme indicated, Streaming Education System based on Web Service, has made beneficial trial for Multimedia Network Teaching.
