| Software reuse is an effective approach to solving software crisis and to realizing industrial production manner of software industry. Having been developing for more than 30 years, software reuse technique has already advanced from exploration stage to application stage. Therefore, how to make use of reuse technique in software developing is an important research topic currently. Practices have proved that the existence of software reuse is not by chance, and only systematized methods could increase productivity and quality of software production. Such methods, which are called Reuse-Oriented development methods in this thesis, guide the software developing by reuse idea and define the software reuse clearly throughout the process of whole software life cycle.Software enterprises in our country are progressing and need to change their original manual way of software developing urgently. So the Reuse-Oriented development methods are significant to them. But most domestic software enterprises are in medium size and face some new questions when practicing software reuse. Based on the above factors, methods of practicing software reuse which are suitable for medium-sized enterprise are studied in this thesis, and a localization Reuse-Oriented development method is also proposed.Some primary Reuse-Oriented development methods are analyzed at the beginning of this thesis. Based upon these methods,the way and technology of software reuse considering domestic medium-sized enterprises'characteristics are chosen and studied. Then, the corresponding solutions are given to the difficulties and problems in reuse process, application system developing process and some other non-technical factors such as funds and organizations which medium-sized enterprises may face when practicing software reuse.
