Over the past two years, the livelihood of television news shows throughout the country, have also launched their own television stations throughout livelihood news columns and made ratings success. In April 2004, Chongqing TV station launched their own livelihood news columns . Since the start broadcasting , Chongqing region has become the highest ratings and normal TV viewing share programs in the various columns of Chongqing, similar columns in the National 4. News of the upsurge in the people's livelihood, many scholars on the"hot news livelihood"raised a query. This stage, some of the problems of people's livelihood development information (trivial, violence, vulgar, etc.) have caused widespread concern. When entering the"livelihood information era", the news may develop livelihood, how status, and this information needs of the ecological environment and people's livelihood audience groups do detailed analysis.This article firstly make a classified summary to the development course of the Livelihood news, and elaborated the rise, background , the reason and the definition of the Livelihood news, then makes analysis on media ecology of Livelihood news in two aspects: the analysis on TV Livelihood news and local television station medium environment and analysis on the audience cognition. Make case study on the audience cognition, and designs a questionnaire by taking "630 everyday" of Chongqing television station as the object. Analyze the investigation data by using the SPSS11.5 analysis software and draw a conclusion. At last it sums up from the research on the characteristic of the Livelihood news audience, the social environmental effect to the audience and the feature of Livelihood news audience cognition.
