This project concerning about multicast application is a sub-project of CNGI Vast Scale Multicast Experiment. Considering the experiment requirements and the practicability, this paper introduces a file distribution system base on the cooperation of IP Multicast and P2P in the IPv6 network. In this system, the distribution mainly used the IPv6 Multicast that P2P ensures the file integrality and the extension of security and management is also involved in the designing.Internet can be divided into different areas by whether support multicast. To use multicast as much as possible, this paper imports a multicast proxy election mechanism in each multicast area. The multicast proxy plays a role of multicast source in its area, and use P2P to exchange resources with other proxies. Meanwhile, the common multicast listeners can find back the lost multicast-data by P2P too. The system chooses JXTA as its P2P platform which provides a full-purpose resource discovery service. The system could use JXTA discovery service to find out all the machines within it. This system has a message communication mechanism for the data exchange base on the discovery service. To sure the multicast transferring more effective in the CNGI network, the system use the TFTP's way that is cut the file into 512 byte blocks and the file source and proxies transfer one block each time. To prevent block cheating and rearrange the blocks, it designs security verification and a compressed sequence list. At the end, paper designs a test topology and some test scenarios, as well as, expecting a general file sharing with Source Specific Multicast after the summarize.
