The Broadband Service Operation Support System Of Dandong Netcom

Recently, the broadband multimedia service, which integrates traditional voice service, high speed data service, and even video data, is being deployed. In order to respond to the requirements of broadband services in the telecom market, we design and develop a broadband service management system for Dandong Netcom. The broadband service operation support system is a service and management oriented system, which is managing the whole flow of broadband service, from receiving customer service request to project ATP and network maintenance. This system is the supplement and enhancement of 97 Business Operation System. By combining traditional voice services, it provides broadband resource management and assignment. In addition, it has the function of service reseller certification management. This system provides a strong technical support to the fast developing broadband services.First, this paper introduces the background of the project. Then it describes the overall requirements of the Broadband Service Operation Support System, and uses the object-oriented design method to carry on the requirement analysis. We take Rational Rose as the modeling tool, and use use-case method to describe the system functions. Then, this paper presents the outline design of system, and establishes the information model and the function model of the system. This paper also introduces the system development environment. The client side applications are developed by the Developer2000 and the database is ORACLE7.3.4. We developed the system prototype, then carry on the requirement iteration to the initial prototype system, and do revises and the improvement unceasingly until the complete system is formed. This article describes the data model, the design procedurce, the systematic security for the system in detail. In the last, we will discuss the further development works of the broadband service management system.
