With the implementation of CCC (China Compulsive Certification), more and more manufacturers realize that they must improve their product quality on EMC, a new field these days in China, so it is obvious that there will be a good market for EMC devices in China. At present, however, most key EMC devices especially EMI Test Receivers are imports which are quite expensive for many manufacturers and very complicated to operate for common engineers. The project is proposed under this background and the primary task is to design a kind of EMI test receiver with simple operations and low price.At first this paper introduces the concept of EMC, the international organization and standard relation to it, and also the transmission and test method of EMI. And then, after describing configuration of the EMI Test Receiver, this paper presents detailed design of the auto-measure system including the selection of system scheme, the design of keyboard, display and communication modules and also the auto-measure design and the anti-jamming design. Finally, this paper discusses the problems and their solutions during the debugging and test. In terms of the performance of the prototype, the EMI test receiver with auto-measure system is well competent for the usual EMI test tasks. This design is able to simplify the operations of the receiver and reduce the price of it, which interests manufacturers especially those small-scale enterprises.
