With the deepening of the extent of Internet commercialization and the rapid expand in the whole world of Internet, Internet was expected to provide not only the simple connection services such as E-mail and FTP but also more abundant services such as broad band and multimedia. At the same time Internet Service Provider (ISP) hope that there are more means to manage and control Internet, so that more kinds of services could be provided easily. Under the circumstances guaranteed quality of services (QoS) technologies attract attention.Although Multiprotocl Label Switch (MPLS) is not a QoS mechanism, it is an important tool for the implement of QoS. MPLS integrate the flexibility of IP routing and the simplicity of switching and add connection trait in the connectionless IP network. The capability of explicit routing guarantees the implement of traffic engineering and fast fault recovery in IP network. MPLS combines the telecommunication technologies and computer networks technologies successfully and becomes a basic technology for the solution of IP QoS problem.Research background was analyzed at first and IP QoS service models were presented. Then the concepts and theories about MPLS were introduced and advantages of MPLS in providing guaranteed QoS were gave. My main work was discussed at chapter 3 and chapter 4. Two aspects of guaranteed QoS technologies were studied, one is about traffic dynamic routing algorithm and the other is about fault recovery mechanism in MPLS network. At chapter 3, the limits of minimum interference routing algorithm (MIRA) were analyzed at first and a new minimum interference routing...
