Researches On Ontology-based Knowledge System Modeling Framing And The Application

At present, the development of knowledge-based systems is considered as a modeling process, which is to build a computer model for solving problems with an expert's ablity. Although quite a number of knowledge bases have mutual problem domains, they are designed and developed separately, which made the high-cost knowledge base be applied in a quite narrow area. This is called repeated investment. This thesis put forward an ontology-based modeling frame of knowledge system OMKBS in order to speed up the developing progress and to improve the developing efficiency by reusing some parts of ready-made knowledge bases.Firstly, ontology is discussed in the thesis. The primary aim of advancing ontology is to realize the sharing and reusing of knowledge, which is also the main function of ontology and the main meaning of doing research on ontology. The effection of ontology in building knowledge bases is deeply discussed in the thesis.Afterwards, modeling-based knowledge base, especially the hierarchical knowledge base, is discussed in the thesis. On the bases of deriving and improving the hierarchical knowledge modeling of CommonKADS, an ontology-based knowledge system modeling framing is advanced in the thesis. Around ontology , the main components of the modeling framing are problem solving method, method ontology, PSM description ontology, domain ontology and so on. Each component is independent and can be reused under some conditions. With such a modeling framing, system developing can be considered as a configuring task based on knowledge sharing technology, which is to build knowledge bases by packaging reusable components of knowledge and reasoning, and to build the support for OMKBS with ProtégéOntology Edit Environment.Finaly, according to the requirements of our army for intelligentizing and informationazing management, OMKBS is applied in the combat readiness equipment support evaluation system in the thesis. By building CommonKADS model and OMKBS model for the system, the value of knowledge system in military field has been proved in the thesis.
