UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) is a serial data transfer protocol which is widely used. UART allow to full-duplex communication at serial link circuit.RS232-C Asynchronous serial interface is used by Serial peripheral equipment, Generally it is implemented by IC namely UART such as 8250,8251, NS16450, They are the familiar UART components, These chips are very complicated and include many secondary modules(for example FIFO), Sometimes we don't use integrated UART functions and these secondary functions 。 Possibly FPGA/CPLD components are used on design, So we can integrate UART functions into FPGA。Verilog HDL is adopted to integrate UART central functions, so it can make the whole design tighter, more steady and more reliable。 At the same time Cyclic Redundancy Check(CRC) is adopted, make transfer performance more superior。 This paper is based FPGA component design to implement UART, and CRC is used。 As follow: 1.
