Electrical and Electronic Network Laboratory (NETLAB) is a remote integrated virtual laboratory with electrical and electronic experiments for science and engineering students. It is a remote virtual laboratory based on Internet. It adopts the double C/S structure with three sites: controller site, server site and client site. Multi-user can do experiments at the same time via NETLAB. It is flexible and robust. NETLAB provides more than 11 experiment groups with over 30 experiments for E.E. students. All these experiments are based on physical equipments. NETLAB tries to simulate the traditional laboratory environment. This thesis summarizes the development of NETLAB. It includes five parts. Chapter 1 introduces the virtual laboratory development abroad and the background of the NETLAB. The content and function of the NETLAB are given in detail in Chapter 2. The structure of the NETLAB is presented in Chapter 3. Several key questions are put forward in Chapter 4: the implementation of servo-system's client-side and controller-side, the system's stability and security, including server redundancy, digital signature based on Java etc. Concrete explanations of these problems are given in this chapter. In Chapter 5, some suggestions for further development of the NETLAB are put forward. And at last, some conclusions are made in chapter 6. |
