The dissertation consists of two parts: the research on Web server performance and the analysis and application of Web frameworks.Web server is an important part of Web systems, the performance of which is always attractive to researcher's attention. To improve the Web server performance, researchers have tried to explore the bottleneck and problems of Web server's capability by employing evaluation tools, and proposed many kinds of effective strategies and methods. But some applicability issues still exist. In this thesis, by analying the exiting optimization methods and the principle of Web server performance evaluation, we propose some novel methods to improve Web server performance, which are practical to real circumstances.With the prevalence of Web and more and more complicated the Web systems becomes, Web frameworks emerge as a middleware between applied platforms and business logics. Web frameworks integrate various techniques, and centralize their power to offer an integrated and effective circumstance to develop Web applications. This thesis introduces several common Web frameworks, and compares their traits. At last, technical traits and applied methods are discussed through introducing portal developing of 3G service management platform.This thesis is organized as follows...(1)After introducing the status of Web server in Web system, the optimizing methods for its capability, and the principle and methods of evaluation, the paper analyzes the problems to improve the Web server performance, and suggests some considered factors and adoptable methods to optimize the Web server performance in real circumstances.
