A Research On The Communication Effect Of "Information Cocoon" Under The Personalized Recommendation System

With the update and iteration of news clients,personalized recommendation technology has entered the field of information distribution.The personalized and customized information push form is becoming a new way for people to obtain information.While obtaining the information freely,users are also gradually getting trapped in the "information cocoon" of personal and technological construction.Combined with the " information cocoon" concept from Cass R.Sunstein,a professor at Harvard Law School——Information utopia – how do people produce knowledge,This paper uses quantitative and qualitative research methods to prove the existence of "information cocoon " communication effect under personalized recommendation system,and to explore the causes and influence of "information cocoon",taking "Yi Dian Zi Xun" for example.Based on the current information dissemination environment,this paper puts forward reasonable suggestions for users to avoid the communication effect of "information cocoon " brought by personalized recommendation technology.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn from the research:1.Yi Dian Zi Xun is based on the personalized recommendation system,and it's users have the "information cocoon" communication effect in the process of using the client.2.The communication effect of "information cocoon" under the personalized recommendation system has a certain procedure,including the two processes of "self-build cocoon" and "external cocoon";3.The users' cognition ——that personalized recommendation technology leads to limited information——is weakened by the media dependence.Currently,the users of personalized recommendation news client hold a positive attitude,ignoring the negative effects of this technology.
