The Implementation And Performance Research Of WAP Portal

With the promotion of performance of wireless communication sets, more and more people use wireless internet, this brings the update of wireless communication sets. Because of the small shape and convenient to access to wireless internet, many people like to use mobile phone browse wireless internet.If you want to access to wireless internet, you must have WAP protocol and micro explore in your mobile phone. But what's important is WAP portal must be supported which can be accessed by mobile phone. Recently, access to wireless internet by mobile phone becomes more and more popular. Most important OP and SP realized the potential and profit of WAP portal. It's very significant for them to develop and operate a powerful WAP portal.In order to satisfy the 3G WAP service of China Telecom,this dissertation designs and implements a WAP portal which can be browsed by 3G mobile phone. Also this dissertation studies and optimizes the performance of WAP portal. The implement of this portal based on the technology of WAP2.0 specification, separated layered system and pipeline mechanism.The main contributions and innovations of this dissertation are as follows:(1)The architecture of WAP portal is separated-layered which includes client layer, presentation layer, business logic layer and database layer. This kind of architecture is convenient to maintenance. Any changes in one layer can not influence other layers. This is very important to a project like ISMP.(2)Pipeline mechanism was used in WAP portal. The idea of pipeline mechanism is advanced than other page mechanism. In pipeline, what you should do is inputting the style and content of the page, then you should do nothing but wait the pipeline generate a page which meet your need.(3)WAP2.0 specification is a new specification in wireless field. WAP2.0 support many new styles which can make the WAP page colorful and easy to handle. WAP2.0 use HTTP/TCP protocol which can promote your wireless network rate.
