Before any material being produced ,we must know its performance under anyapplied condition .Only in this way ,can we ensure the using of the material iscredibility. The main function of the material testing machine is just based on this.Universal Testing Machine is one of the most popular in the application of thematerial testing machine , all kinds of testing such as draw, compress, crookedness, andshear etc for material performance is carried by the universal testing machine. and ithas become an powerful experiment measure in the accuracy research of thematerial1's mechanics performance .With the rapidly development of the technology ,new material and new equipmentcome forth continually, we put forward advanced request about the performance ofuniversal testing machine. more and more .Differing from the data acquisition the system based on single-chip-computer ordouble micro-processor , this paper puts forward a new system structure based onFPGA and PC. The data acquisition system of testing signals is composed of two parts:hardware and software. The hardware part mainly processes testing signals such asconditioning, amplifying, A/D conversion , filter from five input channels for analogsignal and digital signal , only after this can the signals input the computer, while thesoftware part displays, records, processes the acquired signals and controls other partsof the system.In the design of hardware system, this paper describes the digital circuit blockswhich control A/D conversion and measure digital signal and output PWM usingVHDL language from top to bottom on FPGA, designs amplifier circuit, A/D convertcircuit by using AD625 and AD7714 .therefore, the system has become morehigherintegrated degree, reliability and better anti-jamming or testing precision , alsoprogramming on line.With the powerful digital signal processing ability, signal displaying, storing, inputand output functions, the computer takes great actions in signal processing. In thedesign of software system, this paper develops the automatic measure software systemof universal testing machine by using Visual Basic 6.0 . Visual Basic 6.0 has friendlyinterface and great function, it can visit many database systems and convenientlymobilize Win32API and DLL, and bring advantages that application controls theequipment. The experiments prove that the measure software system has the functionsof saving data ,querying data ,showing curve ,analyzing and processing data,outputting and printing report etc.The whole system has the full function and thefriendly interface to operate conveniently.Practice application of the produce spot suggest that Research of the dataacquisition system is significance to improve the level ,speed and quality of materialinspection .it improves the performance of Universal Testing Machine .The measureefficiency and measure precision of the testing machine are improved, and theenvironment and condition of the testing ground are improved greatly..
