Electronic universal material Testing Machine is one of the basic devices used to test material mechanical performances. The testing machine research fields include the moving beam's speed precision, speed-adjust ranges, measurement precision and extent of automatization. A test and control system on Electronic universal material Testing Machine was rebuild in this item. Mechanical-transmission technology, AC-Servo control technology, Computer control technology and Modular programming technology are used in this system. The system can effectively manage and control accessories and function units with computer. The system realizes multiple testing functions. The system structure of the electronic universal material testing machine is introduced in the dissertation first, and then the testing machine's functional theory which is the base of software modular programming is analyzed. The strain electronic measurement is used to measure the load in the system. The special strain signal disposal module has excellent characters, such as good linearity, high sensitivity, low temperature drift, rapid response, etc. A traditional digital stretcher is used to measure deformation. The stretcher is light, reliable, shock proof. It can be clamped easily. The whole process of deformation can be recorded with the stretcher. Compared with the traditional testing machine, our system has two advantages: 1. Digital AC-Servo control system is used to increase speed stability, adjust-ranges, automatization, measurement-precision, at the same time the system has some self-diagnose functions. 2. Data analyses and data disposal are completed by software. It extends testing machine's functional ranges and enhances efficiency. The system functions include tensile, compression, shear, torsion and relative data-disposal. The system has friendly graphic interactive interface. It has been used in actual test and got a favorable effect.
