With the rapid development of military science and technology, thedestructive effect of war is becoming much stronger than before. Thecountries all over the world try to avoid wars, but in the meantime, theystrengthen the military power to deter war for peace. Therefore, a commonproblem that is being faced with every country is how to train their ownarmy in peace time so that inevitable casualty and substantial losses due tothe unadaptability to enemy's new ways of battling can be avoided. And themost effective of solving the problem is combat simulation.Combat simulation has come through several stages: actual combatsimulation, on-map operation and calculation, computer simulation. Withthe networks technology widely used in military field, distributedinteractive battling simulation has become the orientation of battlingsimulation. The development of battling simulation technology began late inour country and is lagged behind other countries,the battling simulationtechnology is still in the research stage.In order to meet the need of military training, the research and analysisof actual combat simulation, on-map operation and calculation andcomputer simulation is done in this paper. The limitation and advantages ofevery simulation method are also pointed out. The integration of thesesimulation methods enhances the effect of battling simulation in this paper.The analysis and realization of the system are also presented on the basisabove.As the combination of traditional and modem technology, GIS isbecoming a all-around subject of spatial information transaction. In the 21century,a informational epoch,with the reciprocal pervasion oftechnologysuch as RS. GPS, Internet, GIS and the like, a integrative technologysystem ,which core is GIS, is coming into being., and will be applied in suchobject as Resource-surveying, environment-evaluation. regional developmentprogramming,common service management. traffic security. military affairsand so on. Military objects marking and motorial simulation is slots throughwhich GIS applied in military.With the development of Internet ,themainstream of GIS applied in military is military campaign simulation,virtual campaign and military objects motorial simulation in theenvironment of intemet.Military objects motorial simulation is a slot through which GISapplied in military, but it is the higher use case, its groundwork is militaryobjects marking.and it can be divided into two dimension and threedimension.In the second halfofthis paper, the principle, structure, the keyfactors of Military objects motorial simulation using DirectX in GIS beresearched.The realization includes two parts: hardware realization and softwarerealization. Between them, the software realization is emphases of thissystem. The realization of the system's hardware includes: the design of thehardware, the composition of system, the definitude of the parameter of theequipment etc. The realization of the system's software includes: the designof exact math models, appropriate data structure design of digital sea map,the design of situation displaying graphics containing abundant content,exact and real-time processing of network data and serial data, effectualmanagement of object's trail, perfect data management...etc.In the system software, the situation display is the kernel content of thesystem. In order to realize the trial situation display, firstly, we need thedigital sea map as the background, which includes seacoast line, fathom line,islands, petroleum terrace, place names, numeral marks, and othergeographic information contents. To meet the different trial requests, the seamap's data structure is designed to the vector type, which enables the seamap to enlarge, contract, move and let the user select the geographicinformation etc. Secondly, in order to form the dynamic situationinformation, the system should receive and process the correlative datasource's information in time, which includes the network data ofthe warship and the wireless communication data from coast. Thoseinformation will be displayed by means of dynamic icons and real-timetrails. Again, the trial plan, which includes the different routes of thewarship and target, entering points and shoot areas etc., also should beshown by means of graphics. Finally all information is amalgamated, edited,displayed by the uniform management in a common situation graphics.In this system, it is the basic task to receive , process and display data,so data processing becomes the kernel work of the system. The workincludes the real-time receiving and processing of the network data andserial data.Network data is the main source of the data which is needed bythe system.Network data include such data as follows: the missile andobjects's location information, the warships navigation and swinginformation, the state information of the weapon equipment, the executionof the commands etc. In the system, fistly, the data's reception andelementary analyse are accomplished by the background thread class.Secondly the data are send to relevant applied classes to be dispayed andcalculated by its difernt purpose.During the forming and processing to thesituation graphics, the relevant displaying content is located by the form ofscreen's planar coordinate, So no matter sea map or dynamic objects, allmust be converted to the same screen's planar coordinate. Because thegeography information is located by the longitude and latitude date of thedigital sea map, so,a serious fuction should be writed to make the map'slongitude and latitude keep the correct accord with the screen's coordinate,meamwhile, other functions about map also needed to keep the accord whilethe map is zoomed out,zoomed in, moved. Among the other data processing,the conversion of coordinate, filter of data and management of the trail dataare another important part about the real-time data calculation. There aretwo sources of the objecets data: the warship radar data sended by networkand the land radars data sended by means of radio wave. Because the data ofradar on warship is designed with inertia coordinate, the data must beconverted to the form that the location is expressed in forms of longitudeand latitude. In above data processing, the data structure and functions thatare designed sciencely are the necessary conditions that the data isprecessed in real-time form and the situation information is displayedfriendly.
