The CAD (Computer Aided Design) software aiming at special member is urgently needed in design task of structure, due to the fact that some special members can not be analyzed in the whole design work or designers need to focus on the appointed member sometimes. This paper studies mainly on reinforced concrete members of morsonry structure, especially in tarrace, awning, eave, cantilever beam and lintel beam, etc. These members's computation and structural request are particular and vary freely in engineering. So CAD system is necessary in this situation. Besides, the major fuction of CAD system is drawing. In each moment of design, even in drawing moment, the member can be modified in time is necessary. But exsisting system can not solve this problem well.Associated with the requirement of design work, compution and drawing system of stuctual member is finished on the basis of actual project. This paper first gives a review at system's technology background, AutoCAD and ObjectARX, introduces kinds of members of morsonry structure and their points in computation, then analyse the design system based on the need of special characteristic of member, carries out the system's total design and each function module, at last, resovles three key problems: analyse the modules of member computation, design the whole computation steps, carries out the data structure of each module;implements the control of computation model, and makes it as a module to provide to each kind of member design system;analyse methods of drawing and their merits and defects, based on these work, implements the recomputation function of members. This system is useful in each step of design of members, which has been proved in actual engneering.
