Communication Based Train Control(CBTC) system is the trend of urban rail transit in the future, which is used for transmitting information of train control and train state though continuously bidirectional digital communication of wayside-train. As a core component of the CBTC system, Database Storage Unit(DSU) provide the necessary data information for CBTC system, such as lane static data, dynamic data, the configuration data, management data and so on. The safety and accuracy of data is the important guarantee of DSU and safety continuous operation of CBTC system. At present, the basic static data of DSU sub-system can only be input by hand, which means the accuracy and efficiency could not be guaranteed. As the development of the application program, the solution to improve the efficiency of data exchanging is crucial for the rail system.First, this paper brief describes on the network of CBTC, and deeply research on the DSU data structure and data application. What's more, the RailML, the standard data format of European Rail System, is also discussed in the paper, we will research the use of RailML in CBTC.Then, through the study of AutoCAD, the data structure of graphic database and graphic data storage method in AutoCAD can be understood. Then combined with detail of analysis of signal equipment layout (DWG files), a process of data picking up from the layout is designed. Thus, the basic data is exchanged into lane static data of RailML structure or the static data of DSU system. At last, to solve the problem of data exchanging between different signal equipment layouts, we use AutoCAD Custom Entity Technology to design a signal equipment Custom Entity, which is a new method for the data exchanging and layout designing.
