Youth Images In Mass Media

This thesis chooses "Youth Images in Mass Media" as core topic. It retrospects relative researches on Youth and Media both in and outside mainland China. Through content analysis and case analysis, it inspects the typical youth images in our mass media and points out: the typical youth images chosen by mass media indicate that on one side the adults are trying to control the youth group at their will, on the other side they are enjoying using perverted youth images as entertainments. Finally, this thesis discusses mass media's responsibilities in helping young people grow up healthily, and tries to give some suggestions on how to improve news reports about youth.
